"Where does my donation go and what does it do?"

Your donation goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which was formed in 2005 with the goal to provide funding, life-saving equipment, disaster assistance and educational opportunities for first responders and public safety organizations.

To date, the Foundation has donated more than $5 million to hundreds of public safety organizations in the communities Firehouse Subs serves.

Check out some of the ways these organizations benefit:

Thermal Imaging Camera

A tool that allows firefighters to see areas of heat through smoke and darkness. Thermal imaging cameras help firefighters find victims, locate hotspots and recognize structural dangers before they cause property damage, injuries or death.

Extrication Tools

Rescue tools are used to aid first responders in the extrication of motor vehicle accident victims, allowing for a safe and speedy recovery.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

A portable electronic device that is used to treat cardiac arrest victims in an effort to restore a normal heart rhythm.

Stabilization Tools

These tools are used to assist first responders in stabilizing overturned and upright vehicles. This helps secure the vehicle, allowing for safe and rapid extrication of victims. Stabilization tools are also essential for rescue and recovery after natural disasters.

Bunker/Turnout Gear

Firefighter’s outer protective clothing to include boots, pants and jacket. These items help to insulate firefighters from the extreme heat of fires.

Radios

Radios provide critical communication between first responders on the scene of an emergency. Both firefighters and victims depend on the function and usage of these communication devices in life threatening situations.
