FIREHOUSE SUBS FRANCHISEES IN TALLAHASSEE, FLA. DONATE MORE THAN 1,400 MEALS
On Tuesday, May 12, in partnership with the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and the Capital Area Chapter of The Red Cross, local Firehouse Subs Area Representatives Chris and Lisa Holmes and Franchisees Brandon Jerkins and Matt Holmes donated 235 subs for lunch to the Kearney Center, a local homeless shelter that helps families in need get back on their feet.
This meal delivery is the first of many; Chris, Lisa, Brandon and Matt will continue to make these donations twice a week for three weeks, with the help of the Foundation and the Capital Area Chapter of The Red Cross. In total, more than 1,400 Firehouse Subs meals will be donated.
Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has partnered with Firehouse Subs restaurants to feed healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as individuals and families in need and seniors who are unable to leave their homes through the Foundation’s COVID-19 Disaster Relief Fund.
Throughout the month of April, all funds collected by Firehouse Subs restaurants through Round Up, canister donations and recycled pickle bucket donations will support immediate COVID-19 disaster relief efforts through the Foundation, including thousands of donated meals to feed our everyday heroes, from first responders to healthcare workers who are selflessly fighting against the current pandemic.
Individuals can also donate to support the relief efforts online at https://firehousesubsfoundation.org/donate/
Since March 18, more than 52,000 meals have been provided through Foundation's relief efforts to firefighters, police officers and healthcare workers, as well as individuals and families in need and seniors who are unable to leave their homes.
