Firehouse Subs opens Warrensburg location

The sandwich shop chain Firehouse Subs opened a new location in Warrensburg on Feb. 1.

Firehouse Subs of Warrensburg owner Nate Ridenhour said he believes the business has been well received by the community since its opening date.

“I think everybody’s been waiting for a while for us to get open and so far, it’s just been positive feedback,” Ridenhour said. “Everybody’s just really excited to have something different than we normally have in Warrensburg.”

Ridenhour said he had been a Warrensburg resident for a while before the restaurant's opening.

Ridenhour has been in the restaurant industry for more than 30 years, including time spent owning and operating multiple other restaurants.

Ridenhour said after being approached about running a Firehouse Subs location in town, he did some research on the business and he decided the organization would be a good fit for him.

“I just fell in love with the food and the brand,” Ridenhour said. “I love that Firehouse Subs supports first responders through the Public Safety Foundation, so there’s a good cause as well.”

At all U.S. Firehouse Subs locations, a portion of each purchase goes to the nonprofit Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to be used to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders.

The organization's website states it has raised more than $55 million to provide equipment, training, and support to first responders since the foundation started, including more than $1.3 million in Missouri.

The Warrensburg Firehouse Subs restaurant features the brand’s “Restaurant of the Future” design, which features enhancements made to provide a better Firehouse Subs experience, in addition to a new back-of-the-house layout with a more efficient flow for Firehouse Subs crew members.

This location also offers third-party delivery and in-house catering services to accommodate occasions from office meetings to family gatherings.

Dedicated to-go parking spots are also available in front of the restaurant for guests picking up takeout meals and catering orders.

The updated design of this new location has a repositioned ordering area and a designated space for orders made online at FirehouseSubs.com or through the Firehouse Subs app.

The restaurant also boasts a custom, hand-painted mural by Chief Mural Artist Joe Puskas, which features Lions Lake, the Central Missouri Mules and a B-2 bomber, paying homage to Whiteman Air Force Base.

Located at 800 N. Maguire St. Suite D, Warrensburg, Firehouse Subs’ menu offers items such as hot sandwiches, soups and salads.
