Firehouse Subs opening in Ann Arbor, looks to hire 10 positions
ANN ARBOR, MI -- Firehouse Subs is launching a new location in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Jan. 8.
The restaurant, at 3500 Washtenaw Ave, Suite G2, is the 12th location for the restaurant in the greater Detroit area and the only one in Ann Arbor. Firehouse Subs previously had a location in Ann Arbor, which closed in 2014 less than a year after opening.
Firehouse Subs is known for its sandwiches themed after public safety, such as the “Firehouse Hero” and “Hook & Ladder.” Sandwiches can be ordered hot or cold and can come with sides like chili, chips or cookies.
A portion of every purchase goes toward Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which provides lifesaving equipment, funding and education for first responders and other public safety groups.
Franchisees Bill and Kelly Boyd of Canton are venturing into the restaurant business for the first time with the new Firehouse Subs location.
A hand-painted mural in the restaurant features the three Boyd children, Ryan, Brandon and Macy, playing football with three Ann Arbor firefighters. It also shows the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University football fields and the family’s dogs.
The Ann Arbor location is looking to fill 10 positions, with 120 positions open across the Detroit area.
Firehouse Subs at 3500 Washtenaw Ave., will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Find the restaurant online or at 734-718-7782.
